Eastern Tailed-Blue Hairstreaks were puddling in several spots. 30-40 at a time. Finding great shots wasn't hard.. sitting still so they wouldn't flutter off was a challenge!

Found this mink at the lake who found this fish. He found it to be a perfect dinner even though it was 4 times his own length or better.

He kept looking back at me while I was following him along the path. I don't think he was too concerned with me trying to get him but he was curious about me.

I was determined to get some shots of this great blue heron after seeing him here last time. Now my hope is to get some good shots of him flying! He is here trying to cool off.. He was doing some gular fluttering (like a dog panting) and spreading his wings trying to cool off.

Gorgeous green dragonfly at the hiking trail today on the swamp. :D love it!
